CGG-xxx-FS; FIRESAFE MTBE & Petroleum Hose

FIRESAFE composite hose utilize a series of non-asbestos barriers to conductive and radiative heat to achieve outstanding fire retardant ability. After 30 minutes of severe fire attack, the hose carcass is still intact and capable of holding product. Even after loss of integrity, this hose will not fail catastrophically, instead it will gradually burn off the product as it presents itself to atmosphere.

Inner Wire: G = Galvanized steel; Outer Wire: G = Galvanized steel

Liner: Polypropylene and polyamide.

Application: Gasoline hose, MTBE hose, and unleaded gasoline hose are also suitable for diesel fuel, paraffin, kerosene, lubricating oils, 100% aromatics and black oils and heavy lubricants and solvents. Not recommended for corrosive and aggressive chemicals. Refer to Chemical Compatibility Chart for specific recommendations.

Recommended For: Sizes 1" to 4" are designed for a wide range of fuel, oil and lubricant applications where flexibility is essential, i.e. rail car and tank truck loading and delivery, storage tank transfer, refinery process, drumming, manifolding, batching and blending. 4:1 Safety Factor, ISO Approved.

Sizes 4" to 10" designed for dockside and marine terminal transfer of fuels, lubricants and aromatics at rated discharge or at full suction. Ideal hose for loading and unloading barges, tankers, bunkering service and other dockside operations at marine terminals. Spiral-wound inner and outer wires provide strength and flexibility to maintain hose integrity under stress and strain of ship and barge movement. IMO type approval for working temperatures -4°F to +140°F and pressure to 150 PSI. 5:1 Safety Factor, ISO Approved.

WD - Heavy Duty Water Discharge Hose

Application: Heavy duty water discharge hose for tougher operating conditions and higher pressures. Water discharge hoses are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1-1/4" to 12".

Tube: Black EPDM & SBR blend, reinforced with multiple plies of spiral high tensile cord.

Temperature: -30°F to 185°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar).

Cover: Black abrasion, weather, ozone & sunlight resistant, EPDM blended rubber.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., cut and/or coupled to client’s individual specifications.

Couplings: Cam & Groove, combination nipples or pin lug short shank couplings attached with a single bolt, double bolt or band type clamps.

Also available in standard duty and heavy wall water discharge hose

WSD - Water Suction Hose

Application: General service water suction hose for use in construction, mining and agriculture. Water suction hoses are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1" to 12".

Tube: Black EPDM blended rubber, reinforced with spiraled high tensile textile cords and double steel helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 185°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar).

Cover: Black weather and ozone resistant, EPDM blended rubber.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft. 1" thru 6"; standard 20 ft. 8" thru 10", also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual specifications.

Couplings: Cam and groove, pin lug short shank couplings or combination nipples.

XLPE - Chemical Hose

Application: Chemical hose and acid hose are highly resistant to highly corrosive/aggressive chemicals. Suction and transfer for a wide variety of chemicals and solvents. Will handle 90% of existing chemicals. See chemical Resistance chart. Chemical hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 3/4" to 6".

Tube: Beige, smooth modified cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), spiraled high tensile textile cords, and steel helix wire. For static grounding use helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 150°F; working pressure: 200 PSI (13.6 bar).

Cover: Green corrugated abrasion and weather resistant EPDM Blend. Designed to resist general chemical and hydrocarbon exposure.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

Couplings: Cam and groove and combination nipples we recommend stainless steel.

Also available in discharge only with static grounding helix wire.

STEAM - Steam Hose

Application: High pressure steam hose are capable of handling saturated steam at pressures to 250 PSI and temperatures to 406°F. Superheated steam to 250 PSI and 450°F. Not for use with detergents. The steel wire braids provide maximum strength and also serves as a static wire. Hose meets MIL-H-28596B, Type 1, Grade A and may be used as a component to fabricate metal lined steam hose assemblies to MIL-H-29210. 10:1 safety factor (2500 Minimum burst) for steam applications. Steam hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1/2" to 4".

Tube: Black EPDM, also available with a chlorobutyl tube, reinforced with steel wire braids.

Temperature: -40°F to 406°/450°F°F; working pressure: 250 PSI (17 bar).

Cover: Pin-pricked red or black, smooth (wrapped finish) EPDM rubber compound to withstand high temperature, weather, abrasion and ageing.

Lengths: 300 ft., cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

Couplings: Female ground joint or washer type with spuds attached with 2 or 4-bolt interlocking clamps.

TCH-100 - Tank Cleaning Hose

Application: Accord Style 100 tank cleaning hose are a high pressure, special hose for cleaning cargo and bulk storage tanks aboard tankers, barges, in terminals and refineries. Tank cleaning hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1-1/2" to 2". ISSA and IMPA codes: 590661, 590662, 590663, and 590664.

Tube: Is specially compounded to resist hot salt water and many cleansing agents, reinforced with multiple plies of polyester - mildew resistant - will not wick.

Temperature: -40°F to 203°F (96°C); working pressure: 250 PSI (17 bar), 1000 PSI (68 Bar) minimum burst pressure.

Ground Wires: 2 Stainless steel braided wires (19 strands 1mm diameter.

Cover: 1/8" thick cover provides excellent resistance to abrasion, salt water, heat and ozone.

Depth Rings: Marked with bright yellow, 3" (75 mm) Wide depth rings every 5 ft. - indicating exact footage.

Lengths: Standard, (50 ft., 75 ft., 100ft. , 300 ft.) cut and coupled to client’s requirements.

Couplings: Non-sparking brass tank cleaning hose couplings or stainless steel couplings with brass or stainless steel 4-bolt interlocking clamps. Additionally, cam & groove couplings in brass and stainless steel with interlocking clamps.

Testing: All assemblies tested for electrical continuity.

Maximum Resistance: 7Ω for 50’ and 18Ω for 100’ lengths.

PD - Petroleum Discharge Hose

Application: Petroleum hose, gasoline hose, and oil hose are designed for use of discharging products used on trucks, docks or barges where a soft wall hose is required. Petroleum hose, gasoline hose, and oil hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1-1/2" to 6".

Tube: Black smooth nitrile rubber, reinforced with high strength synthetic cord plus anti-static copper wire and embedded steel helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 158°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar).

Cover: Black corrugated (wrapped finish), highly abrasion resistant synthetic cover.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., 200 ft., and 40 ft. over 10" diameter, also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

Couplings: Cam and Groove and combination nipples preferably stainless steel.

PSD - Petroleum Suction and Discharge Hose

Application: Petroleum hose, gasoline hose, and oil hose are designed for use of suction and discharge application in tank car and truck transfer of gasoline, oil and other petroleum base products. Petroleum hose, gasoline hose, and oil hoses are available in ID sizes ranging from: 3/4" to 8".

Tube: Smooth black nitrile rubber, resistant up to 50% Aromatics. Reinforced with spiraled high tensile textile cords and double steel helix wire, for static grounding - use helix wires.

Temperature: -40°F to 212°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar).

Cover: Smooth, black neoprene, oil and ozone resistant.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

Couplings: Cam and groove and combination nipples.

SP - Petroleum Drop Hose

Application: Petroleum drop hose and gasoline drop hose are ultra-lightweight and flexible. Seamless static dissipating tube. This unique construction combines rubber and PVC to provide excellent vacuum capabilities and abrasion resistance. All-weather product is available with (SP-102) or without (SP-101) static wire for added protection. Premium grade cover with external PVC helix rod provides superior oil, ozone, and abrasion resistance.

Tube: Seamless black nitrile, static conductive and resistant up to 60% Aromatics. Reinforced with multiple plies of synthetic fabric, supported by a PVC helix rod.

Temperature: -40°F to 150°F; working pressure: 100 PSI (6.8 bar).

Cover: One piece nitrile blend.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

Couplings: Cam and groove and combination nipples.

MSD - Material Handling Hose

Application: Material handling hose are all weather general purpose suction and transfer hose. Designed to handle abrasive material economically.

Tube: Black or red, smooth natural rubber, reinforced with high strength synthetic cord plus anti-static copper wire and embedded steel helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 158°F; working pressure: 100 PSI (6.8 bar).

Cover: Black corrugated (wrapped finish), highly abrasion resistant synthetic cover.

Lengths: Standard 100 ft., 200 ft., and 40 ft. over 10" diameter, also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

HTA - Hot Tar and Asphalt Hose

Application: Hot tar hose, asphalt hose, hot oil hose, molten sulphur hose, and other unrefined petroleum products. Specially formulated elastomer allows this product to be used at temperatures exceeding 300°F. Dual helix design provides full vacuum capabilities. Seamless tube construction offers an ultra-smooth product contact surface. Durable, all-purpose cover is heat, oil, ozone, and abrasion resistant. Available in swaged end styles. Not recommended for refined petroleum products.

Tube: Seamless heat resistant black NBR, reinforced with multiple plies of polyester with helix wire.

Temperature: -25°F to 350°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar) to 200 PSI (13.6 bar).

Cover: One piece black heat, ozone, and hot tar resistant CSM.

Lengths: 100 ft. and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

** Note: Part #’s ending with "D" are for Dock applications and rated for full vacuum.

DOSD - Oil Suction and Discharge Hose

Application: Oil suction and discharge hose are used in transferring petroleum products to and from tankers, barges and storage tanks. Exclusive construction allows for excellent flexibility and handling ease. Rugged all weather cover is resistant to oil, cuts, gouges, scuffs, and ozone attack. Available in smooth or corrugated construction with built-in or swaged end styles. Meets all Coast Guard regulations for Dock/O.S. & D. hose. Oil suction and discharge hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 3" to 12".

Tube: Seamless nitrile blend, resistant up to 50% aromatics, reinforced with multiple plies of polyester with helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 180°F; working pressure: from 150 PSI (10.2 bar) to 250 PSI (17 bar).

Cover: Neoprene.

Lengths: 100 ft. for sizes up to 8"; 50 ft. for sizes 10" & 12", cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

MSSD - Hot Molten Sulphur Hose

Application: Hot molten sulphur hose are heavy duty dock hose for transferring molten sulphur with a modified rough bore construction to handle 300°F. Heat and chemical resistant EPDM cover with a high grade EPDM tube. Hot molten sulphur hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 6" to 10".

Tube: Black EPDM tube, reinforced with multiple plies of polyester with helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 300°F; working pressure: 150 PSI (10.2 bar) to 200 PSI (13.6 bar).

Cover: Black EPDM.

SS - Marine Exhaust Hose

Application: Heavy duty, premium grade marine exhaust hose are used in high pressure, multi-purpose product for use as a flexible connection to transfer wet exhaust. Tube resists high temperatures found in marine engine compartments. Durable cover is heat, ozone and abrasion resistant. Marine exhaust hose are available in ID sizes ranging from: 1-1/8" to 12-3/4".

Tube: Black seamless nitrile blend, reinforced with multiple plies of polyester with helix wire.

Temperature: -40°F to 200°F; working pressure: from 100 PSI (6.8 bar) to 200 PSI (13.6 bar).

Cover: Nitrile blend.

Lengths: Standard 12.5 ft., 25 ft., 50 ft., also cut and/or coupled to client’s individual requirements.

SB - Sandblast Hose

Application: Sandblast hose are used for conveying abrasive sand and shot blast material. Long lasting heavy duty hose available in 2 or 4 ply, exceptionally tough and abrasion resistant.

Tube: Black natural rubber, static conductive, reinforced with high tensile textile cords.

Temperature: -30°F to 185°F; working pressure: from 150 PSI (10.2 bar).

Cover: Black synthetic rubber, abrasion and weather resistant, also pin pricked.
